In case you're wondering...
I'm a former food executive who spent more than 40 years working at agencies, consultancies and food marketers whose sole focus was getting people to eat specific new / better / more food & beverages. People couldn't believe I got paid to do what I did, traveling and eating around the world, talking about food, touring restaurants in search of new things, cooking up new things with chefs, food scientists, and marketers. That's all behind me now, and I'm on a different kind of journey, discovering new things about food and how it affects our bodies, and how long or how well we live. Contracting Type 1 diabetes, a rare auto-immune disorder for adults, at the age of 57 has me more motivated than ever to experiment on myself to discover what diets and practices are most and least beneficial to me. And I also like to travel, so I take this all with me on vacation, as well. Hope it's helpful to some of you!
